POST 7: Changes to my Study Program
I started studying film and television with two years of advanced studies in audiovisual communication at udla, when I analyzed the curriculum I noticed that in reality they were very similar.
In any case, at the university of chile the studies are approached in a much more theoretical way, in fact I never thought that cinema could be studied without any practice in the context of pandemic, however the university "made it" I guess.
I have a heavy academic load that demands a lot of extra hours in the field with a total duration of five years.
Given the conditions of the pandemic, although there is the modality of hybrid face-to-face classes, I have not taken these instances, more than anything for the prevention of any risk, I hope this next year to be able to attend classes normally and to get to know the classrooms of the ICEI.
My career goes hand in hand with the management of various technologies such as software with graphics production programs like After Effects, image retouching like Photoshop or video editing with Premier. However in addition to computers we are trained in the use of recording equipment such as cameras, lenses, lighting and sound.
The teaching methods are quite traditional, mostly consisting of lectures, presentation and management of student projects and final exams where the application of content seen in class is evaluated, to a student project previously approved by the teacher.
