POST 1: A country I would like to visit

 


I would like to visit Japan because I feel it is one of the most relevant Asian countries due to its traditions, architecture, gastronomy, and of course anime. About Japan, I know several aspects of its culture, both ancient and modern, related to politics, film art, and curious facts, such as the accident in the film Yojimbo by Akira Kurosawa, where a broken prop handle through which blood flowed, ended up establishing an aesthetic that would be referenced until today in films and anime.


Thanks to the experience of people I know who live in Japan, I can affirm that I would only like to visit it as a tourist with no interest in working, living, or studying there due to the strong cultural shock with the West in general.

POST 5: My Future Job

When I get out of college I would like to work in the photography team of an agency or audiovisual production company to someday, when I get enough experience, become a director of photography. I think it is a job that can be done on indoor sets, however, production companies also shoot on location so I would like to know different places thanks to my work. It's a very practical job that can't be done in an office, and it's in line with my studies in film and television with a specialization in photography. I think it's going to be a long road to follow, but I'm willing to take the risk to follow my dreams.

POST 3: A person I would like to meet

 One of the people I would like to meet is Meryl Streep, a famous actress of American origin that undoubtedly more than one will know for her countless appearances on the big screen. She is known in the film industry for being a methodical professional, earning the affection of the vast majority of teams she has worked with. I think the aspect I admire most about her is being able to recognize her in films since I was a child, and seeing her working today gives me deep admiration. She has won 3 Oscars out of 21 Academy Award nominations and has become a reference for film fans like me.
